Description

The fourth of our history cafe sessions focusing on the history of the Monastery of Paisley will look at the Commondators of the Monastey. From 1553, the last Abbot, John Hamilton made his 10 year old nephew Claud this successor and from that point Claud effectivly became the lay administrator with a prior running the ecclesiastical side of thinds. We will look at life in the monastery under Claud, pre and post reformation.
