Description
For November we move out of Renfrewshire to explore the archaeiology of the M74 undertaken during 2007 & 2008. It was a privalage to be inviolved in this major project and I’m surprised it has taken me untuil nbow to have a talk on it.
From trial trenching at Scotland Street/ West Street to remains of the Glasgow, Paisley,Ardrossan Canal, Pottery Sites in Rutherglen and large Ironworks at Dixon Blazes in Glasgow and tenements in Pollockshaws; this talk will explore some of the interesting remains discovered.
This talk will be held in the Session Room of Paisley St George’s Church on Causeyside Street, Paisley, PA1 1YP on TUESDAY 27th October 2026 between 7 and 9pm. Entry is only from the Porch entrance on Causeyside Street. There is no access from the Hall entrance on Stow Street.
