Our fourth talk in the Discover series is “From the Cottage to the Castle: The Coats Family of Paisley”
The Coats family are well known in Paisley and the local area for their cotton thread empire that still stretches accross the workd today. This talk will look at the early history of the family using genealogy to see where they came from, and look at key figures in the families arrival in Paisley through to the mid to late 19th Century .
The talk will be held at 7pm on the 25th November and costs £7 per person. The venue is in Paisley St George’s Church Session Room, 82 Causeyside Street, Paisley, PA1 1YP. Entry is by the side door from Causeyside Street, There is no entry from Stow Street.
