Description
Between Februry and June 2026 our history cafe sessions are focusing on the history of the monastery of Paisley. This session will look at the foundation of the Priory and Monastery in 1163 and how Walter fitz Allan, first High Steward of Scotland set his foundation up to become one of the ruches churches in Scotland.
This session will be held in Blend Coffee Lounge in Paisley Arts Centre, New Street, Paisley, PA1 1EZ on Saturday 21st February 2026 between 10 and 11.30pm. Each history cafe has limited places available (6) and these can be booked here for £5. All profits from the History Cafes go to the Beatson Cancer Charity.

All history cafes are in-person only. They are not available online.
All bookings are non-refundable if you fail to attend the event. If the Urban Historian has to cancel the event, a refund or opportunity to attend the rescheduled event, or another event will be offered.
