Description

The third of our history cafe sessions focusing on the history of the Monastery of Paisleywill look at the Abbots of the Monastey. From 1220 the Priory Church of Paislsy was ugraded in status to that of an Abbey and it was then Ruled by Abbots, alll of whom made a great impression on the Monastery, in good and bad ways. This session will look a selection of the Abbots in detail, while listing all of them in succession.

This session will be held in Blend Coffee Lounge in Paisley Arts Centre, New Street, Paisley, PA1 1EZ on Saturday18th April 2026 between 10 and 11.30pm. Each history cafe has limited places available (6) and these can be booked here for £5. All profits from the History Cafes go to the Beatson Cancer Charity.

All history cafes are in-person only. They are not available online.
All bookings are non-refundable if you fail to attend the event. If the Urban Historian has to cancel the event, a refund or opportunity to attend the rescheduled event, or another event will be offered.
