Description
This tour of the Oakshaw graveyards starts at the Oakshaw East Church graveyard on Meetinghouse Lane, before we head up to the former High Kirk graveyard, now Oaskshaw Trinity where we will explore the graveyard and then talk about St Columba’s Gaelic grtaveyard accross the road and the Oakshaw West Church graveyard beside the John Neilson Institution.
The tour of the graveyard will staret at 11am take around 1.5 hours.
The tours are free and are provided by The Urban Historian and supported by Renfrewshire Council through the Culture, Heritage and Events Fund.
For this tour we meet outside the former Oakshaw East Church at the head of Meetinghouse Lane (9 Meetinghouse Ln, Paisley PA1 2DA).
