Description
This tour of Paisley Abbey graveyard will explore the history of the site and hear stories of those buried within the historical site. The graveyard contains the remains of thousands of Paisley Buddies. As we walk around the graveyard we will look at early headstones with just symbols indentifing the deceased’s occupation and how the site was altered over time.
The tour of the graveyard will start at 1pm take around 1.5 hours.
The tours are free and are provided by The Urban Historian and supported by Renfrewshire Council through the Culture, Heritage and Events Fund.
For this tour we meet at the North Porch Door of Paisley Abbey on Abbey Close at 1pm on Sinday 18th October.
